More after the video---
Video brought to you by Flineo.
Watch the video above and listen to the question Keith Olbermann asks Sen. Obama at 01:37.
Did you know that he had made these statements before the video tape appeared?
Listen the the answer Sen. Obama gives at 01:41.
Ya know frankly, I didn't. I did not hear such incendiary language myself.
Sen. Obama previously said this with other "reporters" too. Then today he said the opposite. Today he spoke the truth about Rev. Jeremiah Wright:
He knew of these sermons, he was there (he heard them), he was a longstanding member of this church, AND he financially backed this church and Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
To top off today's "confession" Sen. Obama feels we can relate to this because he is sure it has happened to many of us. Well, Sen. Obama---I have news for you. Many (if not all) of us would have walked out, left for good and NEVER financed such a church.
I will leave you with this comment that Sen. Obama made in today's speech (the part where he threw his grandmother under the bus.):
Oh, and one more thing Sen. Obama: Your discussion today on fairness and equal rights was missing something----you seemed to have forgotten gender.
I have not.
I will end (again) with a section of YOUR speech. However, I replaced the word white with the word male, I replaced African-American with female and I replaced black people with the word women.
So, here goes:
(Remember sexism is yet another one of those -isms!)

Sen. Obama previously said this with other "reporters" too. Then today he said the opposite. Today he spoke the truth about Rev. Jeremiah Wright:
Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely – just as I’m sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed. (From here.)So, what he said before was a lie. (That's what he did with Rezko too remember---first he lied and then he told the truth.)
He knew of these sermons, he was there (he heard them), he was a longstanding member of this church, AND he financially backed this church and Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

I will leave you with this comment that Sen. Obama made in today's speech (the part where he threw his grandmother under the bus.):
I can no more disown him [Rev. Wright] than I can my white grandmother – a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe. (From here.)I am pretty sure his grandmother is still alive. Gee. . . thanks grandson.
Oh, and one more thing Sen. Obama: Your discussion today on fairness and equal rights was missing something----you seemed to have forgotten gender.

So, here goes:
In the male community, the path to a more perfect union means acknowledging that what ails the female community does not just exist in the minds of women; that the legacy of discrimination - and current incidents of discrimination, while less overt than in the past - are real and must be addressed. Not just with words, but with deeds. . .What do you think of that Sen. Obama?

I like it. Especially the last part. Obama doesn't want to touch sexism. Not sure why.
Thanks!
Good blog.
I'm as well appalled at Obama's repeated lies, from Rezko, NAFTA to now Wright. It is so apparent. Yet there are still many democrat politicians making excuses for them. They definitely don't think he either is strong or has good judgement, but they see political advantages for having him there (more than Hillary or McCain). This is simply the OLD POLITICS.
Excellent post- especially the ending-
Poor grandma- that's gratitude for you!
Mind if I link to this from my blog?
Fine by me----THANKS!
