Hillary's Orange Pantsuit
Everyone knew when Obama gave Sen. Hillary Clinton the finger. Even the Obamabots in the crowd knew and they loved his big F-You to Hillary. I believe it was the day after she cleaned his clock in their last debate (remember, Obama wouldn't debate her anymore---the big chicken. Click on the link for a giggle.)
Well, when Hillary gives the finger to Obama, et al. it is done in such a classy way that I am sure the Obots missed the big "F-You!"
I saw the photo of the different colored pantsuits that her aides were holding by the podium. They were trying to decide which color she should wear for her speech at the Democratic National Convention. I think there were five to choose from. All I know is that I was hoping she would pick orange. It looked good with the background and I knew what the color orange would signify.
Last night Hillary came out in her orange pantsuit and I giggled about the possible subliminal message. Hillary Clinton is one smart lady and at that moment I knew what her orange pantsuit symbolized, I got the "meaning" of the color. Then today I read a comment that someone else noticed the significance of the orange color. I knew then that I WAS RIGHT!
Orange is the symbolic color of the Ukrainian Revolutionaries who protested the "selection" of the President in a rigged election. There was massive corruption, voter intimidation and direct electoral fraud.
Sound familiar????
In the end the Orange Revolution was successful. There was a re-vote that was watched by world observers (that's what we needed here!) and Yushchenko became the President.
I guess only "rigged" elections in foreign countries get world outcry.
Later I am going shopping for an orange t-shirt or two. It's time for a Revolution and it will start in November!

I thought this was a bit far-fetched but then startng toting up all the ways orange is used around the globe. A partial list:
SF Golden Gate Bridge - International Orange (actual name of the color)
Buddhist Monks wear orange robes
The Gates by Christo in NYC - orange flowing fabric
The Oranges - The Netherlands
Protestant Ireland - Orange
Digital Revolution - very partial to orange.
But I think the Russian revolution over the rigged election is closest.
Thanks for the history. I just took it to be an "orange jumpsuit" indicating that Hillary was being held prisoner by the DNC. Out for her daily exercise, as it were, but you'd better behave 'cuz the guards are locked and loaded...
Orange is the c0lor of the ribbon on Puma Pac and Own Your Vote. It is the PUMA color. That is why HRC wore that color. John McCain wore an orange tie on Wed of his convention and a goldish orange tie on Thursday for his speech. Coincidence? I don't think so.
Orange was indeed a subliminal message, but not in the way you portray. It is the color of the Denver Broncos. The entire convention was geared on trying to swing Colorado for the Democrats. Harry Reid wore orange too, and Barack and Joe Biden invoked the Broncos throughout the week.
I think of Orange as the Thomas Jefferson light (yellow) blended with the republican red. Orange for me is PUMA, it repressents a fight for democracy, a fight for women, a fight for policy that will keep Americans safe and prosperous.
